On Sunday 10th April, I am running the Paris marathon to raise funds for the Foyle Hospice, which provides ongoing palliative care for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses while supporting their families and loved ones.
I am raising money for the hospice in memory of my Granda, who sadly passed away on New Year's Day. Granda was a wonderful man, a true gentleman.
During his life, Granda was a generous, good hearted man and was a big supporter of the Hospice. He would be very proud that we should raise money for the hospice, in his memory.
It was also the hospice, which provided his final care as he reached the end of his life. Their care was world class and the support which they provided to our family invaluable.
