Story
While cycling to Lands End over 4 days may not seem like the greatest challenge, when you consider the fitness and basic cycling ability of those taking on the miles we hope you will be inspired to donate towards our cause.
Having started out in the summer of 2014 as a joke suggestion to cycle from our Lovell Rugby HQ in Paignton to the most westerly point in England, over the winter it was decided that we should make a serious attempt at this in the name of charity.
So why Macmillan? In March this year my friends lost their Dad, Michael Stringer to cancer after a 2 year battle and riding in his memory is a fitting tribute to such a lovely man. Also earlier this year one of our colleagues at lovell rugby was diagnosed with a rare form of Burkitts Lymphoma and is currently undergoing extensive treatment. While we are training hard and battling the elements, he is facing a much tougher challenge and Michael Stringers family are having to deal with such a huge loss, so it puts everything into perspective.
Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated and go towards a worthwhile cause.
