I am undertaking the biggest challenge I have faced to date, by participating in the RacingThePlanet Nepal 2011 this November. In a few weeks time, I will set off with 242 other competitors to traverse 250KM in 5 days in the Himalayas. We will carry all our own gear and food for the race, with the exception of a tent. I am expecting it to be tough going, as we will have many ascents and descents to face. However to mark my 50 Years on the planet, I want to continue to do everything I can, to put in more that I take out of the world. I am raising funds for the Child Welfare scheme, who will ensure that every dollar I raise, will go to those that need it, however not as hand outs, but to allow the many disadvantaged and discriminated youngsters in Nepal, an opportunity to better their lives and to better the lives of those in their extended family circles. What will be clear, if you have watched the link, is my motivation to support them and to take on the challenge. I will be trying every possible source I can, to raise funds and I hope to get some corporate sponsorship also. Everything donated will go the charity and I will bear all my own costs.
