Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am hoping to complete the Paris to Geneva cycle ride in September 2010 in the aid of the MS Trust.
The MS Trust is a national charity working with and for the 85,000 people in the with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). They support anyone with MS, personally and professionally through information, education, research, policy and campaigning.
In order to complete the 560km (about 350miles) cycle in 5 days; I will need to raise at least £1700 (£1360 by June).
I have chosen to raise money for the MS Trust as a close member of my family has been affected by MS and this is my way of helping her, and many others in similar situations.
The money raised will go towards providing realistic information and support to individuals and their families affected by MS. It was also be used to promote the role of specialist MS nurses within the NHS and to fund practical research into MS.
Currently, we do not know why people develop MS or how to cure it, but there is a major role to be played in finding better ways to manage symptoms and reduce disability.
