Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Quick bit of background on me & Norwood

I first got involved with Norwood last year and as I am lucky enough to have a great family many of the things they provide struck a chord with me. From providing help to children with severe learning disabilities, to offering support & councelling for families in desperate need. Their website (see link to the left) will give you more info.

They need to raise £9m every year from donations to keep doing what they do. It's a tall order especially given the world we are in today, so every little really does help.

Me and the marathon

Now I've always liked endurance. Those that know me well will be aware I've spent the last 3 years on a sleep depravation course since the arrival of Charlie and then Ellie but as they've gotten older (and dare I say it started sleeping better) I've been forced to look for a new challenge.

So I've gone for the marathon (apparently its easy - you just put one foot in front of the other) & am very proud to be running for Norwood.

I'll do my best to post updates on the degree of pain I'm in over the coming weeks & hope that I can encourage you to give as much as you can to support this great cause.

Thanks so much & best wishes,

Mike, Michael, Shranky, George (or whatever else you know me by)
