We raise funds with minimal overheads to run our children's refuge in Peru

Story

I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime - and I really need your help to make the lives of children and young people in the shanty town of Zapallal brighter, and more hopeful.

Project Peru have been working wonders in Zapallal for over a decade, providing a haven for the many children and others in need who co-operate in the daily effort to find dignity through self-sufficiency and security through co-operation. The next phase is to create a library in the childrens' refuge - and I have the absolute privelege to be heading out in September to be part of ths fantastic work to bring education, a love of reading and a brighter future to the children of the refuge.

If you believe in libraries, believe in education, believe everyone deserves the chance to fall in love with books, to explore the wonders of the internet and to make the most of the talents they have, please donate.

I'm trekking through the Andes on the Inca Trail to raise money for the books and materials needed to make the library a success. Please give generously and help us change lives.
