In 2013, my mate Shaun was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease. After two unsuccessful treatments, he had to find a match for a bone marrow transplant – but was stunned to find there were NO matches on the worldwide register.

Shaun's condition has thankfully improved but there is a real chance that he will need to search again. And so will many others. The problem is: young men make up 15% of the bone marrow register – but they provide more than half of all donations.

Money is always helpful for charities. And every penny will be welcome. But what they really need is more donors. So if you’re aged between 16 and 30 and in good health, please think about joining the register and potentially making a huge difference to someone’s life.
