We support research at St Mark's Hospital to drive clinical improvements for patients

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It's been a while since I touted for sponsorship. Many of you know I try to do a challenge or two each year, linking up with and supporting our fantastic and passionate fundraisers.

This one is no mean feat, travelling around middle England, on a route map which is shaped like the colon means for sure we will have at least one day into a constant headwind. There are only 10 of us. And I have done no training since January......it is going to hurt, I assure you.

The money you donate goes to support research at St Mark's into bowel cancer and other bowel diseases. The difference you make is very real. Translational research is a critical part of the picture of changing outcomes for patients. It is all very well discovering new treatments, and high tech technology...but how we ensure that those treatments reach patients everywhere, as quickly as possible, means getting the details of how best to introduce these new approaches most effectively and efficiently.

That is something we have been doing for over 150 years at St Mark's. Please support us and help us build passion and innovation in young researchers that helps them to make a real difference in these diseases which are so devastating, and isolating, due to the intimate nature of the symptoms.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
