Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have now signed up to compete in 3 x 26 mile walks and the 10km London Run. OMG!!! What have I let myself in for! She must be mad, she'll never do it, I hear you say. Well those of you who know me will know how determined and how competitive I can be.

So why am I doing it?

I'm competing in these events to raise money for Home-Start Sheffield.  I first heard about Home Start 4 years ago when I volunteered for them, and from the day I began my training with them I was hooked.  Home-Start helps families with children under 5 and provides friendship, support and practical help to families that are having a tough time.  As parents  we all need a friend to turn to from time to time, and that's where a Home-Start volunteer can make a real difference in the lives of parents; but more importantly in the lives of young children.

I believe every child deserves a good start in life and this is why I'm running for Home-Start and why I would love you to bits if you sponsored me.  And remember, as the Tesco add reminds us, "...Every little helps!"
