Well we did it….despite the absolutely horrific weather, with constant rain, wind and fog all the way up! When we got to the top we couldn’t see a thing through the fog and cloud, so there was no chance of views or even drying off a little. We were drenched right through and the café was really packed out and full of queues - I didn't expect that many people!
About half way down though we started to get some views as it cleared up a little bit… The views were amazing and made it all worth it, we felt quite emotional!
We took the Rhyd Ddu path, it took about 3 hours each way, and some parts were very very steep. These links show our track via GPS (obviously the calorie count is very inaccurate, not taking into account the steepness and difficulty of the route!).

Thank you so much for all your kind contributions - this has made it so much more worthwhile! Please continue to donate - I really think we deserve it!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Myself and fourteen of my work colleagues are going to hike up Mount Snowdon in Wales in September. A four hour walk up some difficult terrain, probably in quite difficult weather, followed by another four hours descending again.
This is going to be a great personal challenge, the last time I did anything like this was in Thailand over ten years ago! This is also a great opportunity to raise funds for a charity close to my heart. IAPWA are an international animal welfare charity that need your support to provide hope and protection for animals in need by preventing cruelty and promoting animal welfare responsibility.
