Raising funds for Melanoma Research

Story

So it’s really happening! On July 21, I will be walking 100km along the Jurassic Coast as part of team Shomelanoma to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Their pioneering treatments literally saved the life of one of my dearest friends Shiona Ramage. Shiona, who will be doing the walk with us (and who has put up with my endless chat on hours of training walks), is a constant source of inspiration to me. She is one of the strongest, most resilient women I know.
Her positivity combined with the work of the Marsden team meant her melanoma didn’t stand a chance 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
The money we are raising (£26k and counting) is going straight into the research that the Marden's world-renowned oncologists are driving, so every penny is going toward saving lives like Shiona’s. Lives of the people nearest and dearest to us.
Whatever you can donate, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
Here’s to celebrating life and kicking cancer off a cliff!

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
