Story
Hi,
I am Michelle.
I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in 2003. I was lucky to receive pioneering surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital London. As of today I am one of only 127 women worldwide who have received this pioneering surgery thanks to Professor Sheppard and his staff.
I was given my six year all clear in November 2009 and although I am now physically fit, I still find it hard at times and I realise how lucky I have been and I am extremely grateful to still be here as I am more than aware that a lot of younger girls and ladies have not been so lucky.
The reason I am doing this event (Cycle ride in Kenya October 2011, 400k's on and off road over 5 days with 79 other women and No Chocolate!!!) is to raise awareness and hopefully to help find a cure for this silent killer and also raising money to combat Ovarian and Breast Cancer in women.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and I am grateful for all donations received.
So please dig deep and donate.
Love
Michelle XX
