Well I completed my first marathon in 4hrs 20m 11s. It was a hot day and the course was hilly in places but I crossed the start and the finished and I am very proud of what I achieved.....many, many thanks to all those who have sponsored me

I am taking part in the Halstead & Essex Marathon on the 8th May 2011 to raise funds in support of the cancer care unit at Broomfield Hospital.
Since January 2006 my dad has been receiving chemotherapy at the cancer care unit to help control secondary cancers in his stomach. I've been training really hard for this event and now its over to you - I'd be really grateful for whatever you can spare. Please sponsor me as I know what a difference this money will make to people, including my dad, who are receiving treatment for cancer.
Together we can help to buy all those important extra comforts to make the time in hospital a little more bearable.
