Michelle's Walk in her Shoes challenge 2016

Walk In Her Shoes 2016 · 21 March 2016 ·
I'm supporting CARE International to provide safe clean water to communities in the developing world.
Every day, women and girls have to walk long distances to fetch water for drinking, cooking and cleaning. This water is often dirty and infected and because they have to spend time collecting it, these children and women miss out on the chance to go to school or to work.
By walking 10,000 steps (approx 7km or just over 4 miles) a day between 5 and 12 March 2016, I want to raise £100 to help CARE International provide clean water to communities in the developing world and give women and girls the chance of a better future.
I am pretty active, but I've been using a pedometer to measure my steps and on a typical working day, I manage about 6,500 steps, so getting up to 10,000 every day will mean a fair bit of commitment. And I don't intend to run every day just to get the total up.
