Last year I thought the Ironman was a ridiculous and very ambitious goal!

 

It took me several months to admit that I was going to attempt the whole event! Having struggled through the reccie bike ride, Joe Townsend finally convinced me that I could, and should attempt the whole event! After all that he, and so many others had achieved I had to try! I was a bit of an underdog when it came to training, so I think everyone was surprised when I actually made it across the finish line... The first thing Laura asked me as she put the medal around my neck was 'are you going to do it again next year?' I didn't hesitate this time!! 

I am currently really enjoying working as a physiotherapist at the military barracks in Aldershot. However, working at Headley Court last year and training with such fantastic & inspiring people forming Team True Spirit, was honestly THE best time of my life! It's amazing what can be achieved with the desire and determination that these injured guys have! So not only am I going to attempt it again, I aim to help reach that target of £20,000 for charity!!!!!
