Story

In 2005 Stuart Mansell, my fiancee's brother died of melanoma (for a brief explanation see below) leaving behind two young children.
In 2008 I raised for cancer-research.
This year I decided to dedicate two events to the Melanoma charity. 27th of March in Oceanside California I am doing a 70.3 Ironman Triathlon http://www.ironmancalifornia.com/(1.2m/1.9k swim, 56m/90k bike, 13.2m/21.1k run) and on the 6th of June a 35 mile off road run http://gobeyondultra.co.uk/events/northants_ultra For me the triathlon is to beat my 2008 70.3 time and to finish the 35 mile run in 8 hours or less, but at least finish it. What it is really for is to raise as much money as possible for the melanoma foundation, hence why you allreceived this mail.

Although malignant melanoma is a comparatively rare form of skin cancer, it is very serious, and generally develops in the pigment forming cells of the skin.It is one of the fastest growing cancers in young people. The earlier it is diagnosed, the better the chance of effective treatment.
