This year I am doing the Great North Run in memory of Rosie Grace Dwyer, the19 year old daughter of our good friends Rachel and John and sister of Jacob and Florence. Tragically Rosie died suddenly on the 21st December last year from septicaemia.

You will see from the websites that her family has chosen to support ACE Africa (UK) which operates in Kenya and Tanzania supporting orphans and vunerable chiidren and their carers and parents whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS.
This is the7th year I have done the Great North Run and I haven't always sought sponsorship because compassion fatigue can set in if you knock on too many doors too often. You were all very generous in supporting the Alzheimers Society when my Dad died in 2006. If you feel able to support me this year that would be just great.
