Hepatitis C infects nearly 200 million people worldwide, and 35% of patients affected also have HIV, mainly because both viruses are blood bourne and that the prevalence is much higher in Africa and Asia.
Alex Chin, Craig Elderfield and Andrew Wills will be cycling from London to Brighton on Sunday the 16th May to raise funds for the Hepatitis C Trust's Get Tested Mission. The funds will buy much needed and life saving equipment to treat those with Hepatitis C in the UK.

For most symptoms are hidden,
yet if untreated about 80% of those infected will see a breakdown of the liver. No vaccine
protects against contracting hepatitis C, or helps to treat it after a
certain point.
