Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Lou and I are doing a Midnight Mountain Marathon. That’s right – a marathon, up a mountain, finishing (we hope!) by midnight.
St Wilfrid’s is a Sheffield based charity helping people on the fringes of society – the ones who fall through the cracks; the ones who are somewhat lost. St Wilfrid’s provide advice, training and even shelter. They are currently trying to raise £1.8 million to build a new residential centre so they can help even more people.
At the end of last year, Lou and I were occasional runners – running maybe once a week and doing about 5 miles – the furthest either of us had ever run was about 10 miles. Then an enthusiastic friend sent us this:

I’ve always wanted to be able to run up a big hill and this seemed like a good time to do it. The fact that it’s 26 miles seemed kind of incidental.
So, we’ve ramped up our training and are on course to get round it.
We need motivation though; so please sponsor us - St Wilfrid’s is a great charity and I haven’t asked for sponsorship since a school walk in 1993!
