NEWSFLASH!
100miles successfully completed on Sunday 20th September in 6 hours 17 mins!!!
Feeling somewhat sore but otherwise OK and relieved to have completed the challenge.
Sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of you who have contributed and supported me - it means such a lot and I've been deeply touched by your sentiments.
Crossing the finishing line proved very emotional for me but hopefully, together weve all made a difference in the continuing fight for awareness and preventative action to counter the hidden killer that took our darling Tom...
We lost our darling son 22 months ago to an undiagnosed irregular heart condition. Tom was a keen sportsman; fit, intelligent, good looking and full of fun.
Overnight our lives changed and the pain we have, and still endure, from Tom's passing is immense. As a close family we have survived by drawing on each other and the support of friends, family and colleagues.
By donating to the Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS UK) charity and the Trust set-up in Tom's name we hope we can continue to raise awareness of this hidden killer and if even one son or daughter is diagnosed early and one family is saved from the trauma of such a sad loss, then it has to be worth it.
Anything you can give is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your continued support
Steve
