5 Mountains, 3 Days, 2 Power Rangers, 1 Goal....

In June, I will be taking on the challenge of climbing 5 of the UK's highest mountains in just 3 days, to make it even more exciting I will be undergoing this challenge in the form of my alter-ego; The Red Power Ranger!

Having lost two family members to cancer, and seen the effects, first hand, not only on sufferers but also on the people they love, I will be using this opportunity, with the help of Loughborough RAG, to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please sponsor me on my trek across England, Scotland and Wales and help the millions of people affected by cancer up and down the country.

Cancer Research UK are the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Their ground-breaking work in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer has saved millions of lives. Their aim is to ensure more people survive cancer. The term 'cancer’ actually refers to more than 200 diseases that all involve the uncontrolled, abnormal growth of cells, which makes their vision of beating cancer a complex challenge.

They support the work of more than 4,800 researchers, doctors and nurses throughout the UK, fighting cancer on all fronts. Every day, researchers make cutting-edge discoveries in their labs, and their doctors and nurses pioneer new treatments with patients in hospitals.

Sadly, one in three of us will get cancer at some point. It’s vital that they continue research so that many more lives can be saved.
