Great South Run ..using Horsepower!

 

On October 27 2013 a team of 4 will enter the 10 mile Great South Run and carry a full size replica of the now famous War Horse - “Warrior”. He stands over 7 foot tall and over 8 feet long!

This is the first outing for this thoroughbred and the aim is to raise as much sponsorship for our chosen charities.... Mike and Colin are collecting sponsorship for The Wessex Cancer Trust (Roke COY) via their Justgiving page, whilst Karen and Penny are collecting sponsorship for The Royal Marsden Hospital.

 

There has been a  considerable amount of work (and generosity) in order to get this far and we hope that you can sponsor us for our efforts on the day. Do come along an cheer us on...we will need it!

You may be interested to know that as a commemoration of the centenary of WW1 - “Warrior" will also be taking part in the 2014 London Marathon supporting the Royal British Legion.
