Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I completed all 13.1 miles in the Sheffield half marathon on Sunday 27th May 2012. It was very hot, but well worth it to raise money in aid of research into Crohn's disease.
As I exceeded my original fundraising target before the race, I've increased my target to £750. The page will be kept open until 27th August, so its not too late to donate.
CICRA is a charity which is dedicated to creating a wider understanding of Crohn’s disease, particularly as it affects children and young adults. It raises funds to support approved medical and scientific research aimed at finding more effective treatments and an eventual cure.
My nephew was just 11 when he was diagnosed with Crohn's. It is a debilitating illness and he has been through a great deal as a young man - he's now 24. Although there are many treatments, so far no 100% cure has been found. It would be great if one day, Crohn's was a disease of the past.
