I am now two weeks into a 5 week fitness programme, where I have been a participant in Lloyds Bank’s “Fit Banker programme” run by Nuffield Health.

The programme consists of:-

1) Stress levels and physiological resilience

2) Overall fitness assessment (MOT)

3) Diet and nutrition recommendations

4) Diabetes, cholesterol and blood glucose check

5) Posture check

6) Lifestyle goals overview

7) One-on-one personal training at 10 Gresham Street Gym, twice a week

8) Reassessment at the end of the five-week period to see what you have achieved.

Physical Training

Physical training has become alien to me, not having exercised properly since I stopped playing football 17 years ago.

During the fit Banker programme I have been visiting the gym twice a week.

I have been putting my body through a lot of pain, and it has been killing me!

My training has been done with the guidance and watch full eye of my personal trainer Aaron, (pictured below on the far right), I am 3 from the right. (the big Geezer)

I am determined to see good results from my training schedule, and admit after two weeks in and I am starting to feel fitter, with more stamina and energy. I have pushed myself more in each session, and starting to get the fitness bug.

Although I have joined a 5 week programme, I will continue this physical training afterwards,

For me this programme will be the tip of the iceberg in my goal to become fitter, lose weight, and become healthier.

As the saying goes, no pain no gain.

Sponsorship

Anyway as part of the agreement in signing up to the “Fit Banker Programme”, I have to raise a minimum of £1,000.00, in aid of "Opportunity International" an affiliated Lloyds Banking Group charity.

So please, please, please sponsor me, during this programme.

The monies raised will be given to Lloyds Bank affiliated charity Opportunity International, which is a charity dedicated to providing financial services to some of the poorest communities in the world.

Opportunity International gives opportunities for people in poverty to transform their lives, by providing access to sustainable financial services (micro loans, savings and insurance) and training so they can unlock their own potential and begin to work their way out of poverty.

Please give generously and any pledge would be greatly accepted……………

Those who have…………

Many, many thanks for your pledges ……………….

Those who have not………..

Please, please, please sponsor me in aid of "Opportunity International".
