I’m doing the Great North Run in memory of my good wife. We – Nicole, Luciee, Marsh and me – would like to give thanks for the fantastic care Al received from the Saint Michael’s Hospice team in the last very painful 2 ½ weeks of her life.
Al said she would like to have helped Saint Michael’s if she had been lucky enough to survive stomach cancer; I’m crying writing this. With Al’s wish to help Saint Michael’s in mind and to give back to a fantastic, caring and free service I would like you to help me raise £10,000. And I’d like YOU to help with this by sponsoring me for running the 13.1 miles of the Great North Run.
Saint Michael's believes that everyone in the Harrogate and district area should have access to the end of life care they need, want and deserve. They have a specialist team of staff and volunteers who place huge emphasis on respect, empowerment, dignity and adding quality to the lives of our patients. Their services include a 10-bed in-patient unit, day therapy centre, lymphoedema clinic and bereavement support and make no charge at all for any of the services they provide, making sure that care is available to all. They currently must raise £2.5 million each and every year to ensure this vital facility can continue.
So please dig deep and donate now.
