The Vodafone Big Bike Challenge – LEJOG · 9 September 2014 to 14 September 2014 ·

Vodafone Foundation are currently raising funds for their All Together Now campaign, to help more young refugees achieve their dreams through access to quality education, by expanding Instant Network Schools, a joint programme with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In Lesotho 23% of the population are HIV+ and there are 41,000 children with AIDS.  Without treatment 90% of HIV+ children die before their 5th birthday, and a third will not see their first.

The good news is that we can help.  By providing healthcare supported by the Vodafone Foundation we intend to provide life saving drugs to all the children in Lesotho to combat HIV/AIDS.  We hope to help all 41,000 children to lead a normal life.

Every penny you donate will make a difference, so please dig deep….I will be doing the same when I attempt the 9 day bike ride (that's 107 miles a day).

Some of you already know that doing this ride is a major ambition of mine as I have come back from a (second) heart procedure in January and now a knee operation in June, so I'm doing this now before I completely fall to bits!!
