Woking High School will be supporting Woking & Sam Beare Hospices as our major charity for this academic year. The school has always been proud to partner charities within our local community and believe the core values of the hospice, which focus on the highly personal, holistic approach to care, is something that we, as a school, try to emulate in our commitment to supporting all our students. In May 2014 we unfortunately lost one of our Pastoral Co-ordinators, Mrs Carrie Thomson to cancer after a 19 month fight with the disease. Woking Hospice provided Carrie and her family with outstanding support, care and kindness in her final weeks. Woking Hospice relies almost exclusively on voluntary donations. As a school we are proud to do all that we can to help them in providing invaluable care in our community.
