My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will already know our eldest son son James has Down Syndrome. In his early years we were extremely grateful for the advice and support provided by the Sarah Duffin Centre in Southsea, Hampshire and for a few years Nicola was a Trustee of the charity until we moved to Surrey. A few years ago the charity behind the Sarah Duffin Centre rebranded itself into Downs Syndrome Education International (DSEI - (www.dseinternational.org) and they continue to offer James support and he is an active participant on one of there current research projects - recently we have noticed a great improvement in his speach and language and we feel this is in no short measure to the work that DSEI do.
With this in mind I'm intending to run the Great South Run on Sunday 30th October 2011 as a member of the team raising money for DSEI. Nicola, James and I would be extremely grateful for any contribution you feel you could make.
