<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Courier New';">This year I will be running the London Marathon in memory of both my mam </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt;">and dad and raising money with the help of my sister Mandy.</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt;">Our </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt;">mam died in August 2006 of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and our dad died </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt;">in October last year from Lung cancer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">Most people who suffer with MSA are initially, and wrongly diagnosed, as </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">having Parkinson's Disease. Having never suffered any health problems our </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">mam was diganosed as having Parkinson's disease at the age of 49. She did </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">not respond to any of the standard medication given to her and rapidly </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">deteriorated over the next 6 years. After losing her ability to walk and </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">talk, she died in 2006. During this time our dad dedicated his life to </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">looking after her 24-7.</span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">MSA is a small society and needs all the help it </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">can get to help support people around the UK who are suffering from this </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">horrible and frightening disease. Lets help put MSA on the map.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">Two years ago, after losing our mam, our dad was diagnosed with Lung </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">Cancer. After fighting the disease for over 20 months, our dad died last </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">year.</span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">He was fighter to the end.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">They were wonderful parents. They gave their time to all and always had a </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">warm smile on their faces (as you can see in the picture).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">So in memory of such special people, I will be running a lovely 26.2 </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">miles (and probably losing some toe nails/nipples lol)</span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">to raise some </span><span style="font-family: 'Courier New'; font-size: 10pt; background-color: white;">money for both MSA and The James Cook Lung cancer ward in Middlesbrough.</span></p>
