Sick Kids Friends Foundation - Sick Kids Save Point · 7 October 2011 ·

Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity believes no child should face hospital alone. Every day, 500 seriously ill children face a life-changing hospital visit. Children tell us it can be frightening. Parents say they're sick with worry. We want to change this. With your support, we can. Are you in?

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be taking part in a 24hr non stop game-a-thon!!

For anyone who knows me, you might think I dreamed this up as a means to play my XboX all weekend, but no. Someone else had this great Idea last year, and they raised almost 7K.

I will play XboX through the small hours of the night, but during the day I will be playing a string of people at chess/risk/chekers/scrable/Cribbage/Settlers and any other game that people would like to come and play with me...... Cake and Tea is also most welcome!

The Charity is the 'Sick Kids Friends Foundation' who go to great lenths to make sure that kids who have to be in hospital, have some respite and fun from whatever it is that brings them in to the hospital, alternative therepies, family spaces, toys and training. (find out more here or watch the video)

So in the first weekend in October, Gamers all over scotland (and further afield) will be taking part in this event, some will play in groups, some alone. Some of us will play games consoles some will play board games or a mixture of both.

I will be playing my xbox360, and I will be updating this space with my own personal challages to be completed within the 24 hours.

I will also be setting up a live webcast of the 24hours challange and a chat page so you can check in on the challange live!

If you can spare even £0.50 it will make a difference for this tramendous cause.

Thanks.

Mike x x x

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
