My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm Benita, I'm 12 years old and I'm doing a fundraising event which anyone can take part in called Miles for Malala. She inspired me with her courage and bravery and I wanted to help her campaign for girls rights in Pakistan. The money raised will to go QEH charity in Birmingham who have set up a fund in her name.
Me, my family and anyone who wants to join are doing a ten mile walk on the old railway route from Bristol to Bath on the 11th of November. We want as many people as we can to join in with us as there is easy access for all on the path. If you can't be there than I'm more than happy for you too just donate on my page.
Thanks for your support!
My updates 7
Thankyou to all those who have donated. It isnt to late to donate yet! Keep your donations coming in as I am still a long way from my target. Thankyou to everyone for taking some of your time to donate or look at my justgiving page.
Finished at 4pm feeling exhausted and suffering cramps. Thank you to Tammy, Lucy, Beth and baby Josh for being with us all the way. Photos soon!
If anyone wants to join we'll be meeting underneath Ridgeway Road at 10am. There is parking on the road and access to the path. We'll be wearing special t-shirts! Otherwise we'll be stopping halfway at the Avon Railway Cafe around lunchtime. See you there!
Today I went on two radio broadcasts and I think they went quite well. Nervous for tomorrow. Weather should be a frosty start but good in the end. Please do donate as I still have a long way to go to reach my target. Thank you to everyone for their support so far!
Benita will be on Radio Wiltshire with Mark O'Donnell on Saturday the 10th of Nov at around 11am talking about Malala and her walk.
