Our beautiful baby Miles was sadly born sleeping at 39+5 weeks on 6th December 2018. This devastating news came as a massive shock to us having had a healthy low-risk pregnancy and a normal scan just 2 weeks earlier. We had never considered such a tragedy could occur at this late stage in pregnancy without any apparent reason. The UK unfortunately has one of the highest rates of Stillbirth in Europe, the reasons for this are unclear. Sands do some incredible work supporting those who have been affected by Stillbirth and Neonatal death. We are supporting Sands as well as a number of other Charities.
