Aspire Solent Swim · 3 October 2015

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Our school supports the spinal injury charity 'Aspire' and next year we are hoping to do a relay swim across the English Channel to raise money for them.

As part of the preparation for the Channel crossing in 2016 we are doing this Solent Swim on 3rd October this year, when 10 of us from year 8 will swim the 2.5 to 3 miles from the mainland to the Isle of Wight.  I am hoping to raise at least £500 for Aspire in the next 10 days, so I hope you are able to support me by giving a donation for this wonderful charity.
