Story
This August I will be off to Africa to take part in an expedition to climb Mount Kenya. Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second highest in Africa. Sitting astride the equator its icy summit reaches to 17,058ft and point Lenana at 16,355ft is a challenging hike for the adventurous.
I feel privileged to have the opportunity to help others less fortunate than myself. To be able to challenge myself to the extreme in the process makes it that much better. The trek will be challenging but nonetheless an extremely fulfilling experience.
All funds raised will go to Sewa International. The money you donate goes directly to projects such as,
Medical Aid: Eye operations were funded to help those with visual impairment and help restore the sight of many, giving them personal independence and a new lease of life.
Food Aid: Distribution of emergency medical aid and food supply was funded to alleviate hardship and human suffering.
Education Aid: Providing bursary to impoverished student in Jamhuri High School. Bright students facing financial hardship, often as a result of losing one or both parents, are helped through this scheme to continue and complete education.
Whilst I relish the opportunity and challenge of this trek, your generous donations will go a long way in assisting these worthwhile projects for the less fortunate.
Thank You
Donating through JustGiving is totally secure. Once you donate they'll send your money directly to Sewa International and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
