My story
Hey guys,
Please, please, please, take the time to donate whatever you can to support me. Everything we raise will go to the NSPCC. It's a fantastic charity which - here comes the cheese - helps children to grow up in an environment free of abuse, fear and danger; something I certainly took for granted, but what all children deserve.
And if that doesn't make you want to donate, the fact that I'll be doing the whole thing dressed as a Roman - i.e: looking like a fool, should inspire you! I will be posting pics from the walk as soon as possible, so you've got that to look forward to.
As I'm not the fittest creature on the planet, I've been training a bit recently. After realising that maybe Zumba classes aren't the most taxing form of exercise, I've now moved onto bootcamp. Basically spending an hour, twice a week, running round a school field and doing press ups and sit ups in the mud! Very reminiscent of school P.E. lessons... and if you knew me at school, you'll know that I am not a natural athlete!
As a bit of a trial run, and to break in my (heel-less - shock horror!) hiking boots, Olivia and I spent bank holiday Monday stomping around Lyme Park. And if that were anything to go by, Hadrian's Wall will be just about bearable... provided there's no wind, rain, or... hills!
Remind me, why am I doing this again?!
