We are a year 7 tutor group who are taking up the challenge of reaching 170Km as a group which is the distance from our school to the RSPCA headquarters in Horsham and back again. We are walking/swimming/running/dancing/gymnastic flipping/horse-riding as individuals to reach our total. 

Some of us our taking our pets along for the ride to show how much our animal friends mean to us. 

We are doing this for a very worthy cause - to help our local animal shelter The RSPCA Stubbington Ark. 

Every year hundreds of animals are abandoned, rejected and cruelly mistreated. Inspectors are usually called in to help our local RSPCA Solent Branch who support a 400 square mile catchment area in Hampshire. 

They are able to house cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, all small rodents, stock animals and numerous species of wildlife. They have an in house Veterinary Unit complete with operating theatre and they microchip all adopted cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets. 

The team of dedicated staff and volunteers strive to rescue and rehabilitate all animals and ensure that they all receive the best possible care and the chance to find their new forever homes or be released back into the wild.
