Having lost a wager with one of Edge Hill University's academic departments, I was obligated to spend a day at work dressed as a character from the Wizard of Oz. 'If I only had a brain' I would never have got into this situation, but I was committed - and decided to raise money for a great charity as well.
In an exciting online poll, the voting gave Dorothy Gale from Kansas a massive victory, so inevitably the gingham frock was mine... and I spent Friday 25th September 2010 walking round the campus in Dorothy getup. There are pictures, a video and a blog explaining the Oz connection.
So it would be great if you'd bung the North West Cancer Research people some cash.
