Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I work at The Cooperative, and we’ve joined together to raise money for our Charity Partnership with British Red Cross. Together we can help to tackle loneliness in communities across the UK.

I am walking 13.3 miles from Co-op support Centre, 1 Angel Square in Manchester to the Rochdale Pioneers Museum in Rochdale where it all began!

Loneliness is indiscriminate - it affects people of all ages and backgrounds and can be found in all types of communities. It can lead to a sense of despair, and emotional and mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. In fact, it’s reported to be twice as bad for our health as obesity.

Together the Co-operative and British Red Cross will deliver radical and lasting change to support those experiencing loneliness across the UK. Together, we will provide vital support to the lonely and isolated, reconnecting them to their communities and providing life changing care in their homes.
