We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. By 2050, we believe everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live – and be supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Story

I've decided to cycle from London to Paris (240miles!!) in just 3 days in July 2016 to raise money for Breast cancer now. Their goal is to stop breast cancer from taking any more lives by 2050, and I want to do my bit to help achieve this goal.

October is breast cancer awareness month, so there wasn't a better time for me to sign up to this incredible challenge.

'If we all act now, by 2050, we believe that everyone who develops breast cancer will live'

As for cycling, I cycle about 1km maximum (on a good day) to and from university. This challenge is for sure going to be (very) difficult, but it is more than worth it.

The plan is that on day 1 we cycle approximately 73 miles, from London to Plymouth. We will catch an over night ferry into Caen, France.
On day 2, we will start cycling at 7am, starting through Normandy. Approximately 87 miles later, we will arrive in Evreux.
After a refreshing meal and sleep, we will begin our final day, day 3 with 74 miles (approx) and finish the incredible journey with a few laps around the Eiffel tower (and a drink).

I've been lucky enough to not have been affected closely by breast cancer, but my dad has. His mum passed away from breast cancer. I unfortunately never got to meet her. Too many others have suffered from breast cancer, either themselves or close relatives but I want to help this stop.

I want to say thank you for just looking at my page. Any awareness raised is a huge step (or cycle) forward. As for any donations, I can't thank you enough. This really is our chance to help beat breast cancer.
