Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

Brake is a national charity dedicated to preventing road death and injury and caring for people bereaved or injured in road crashes.

Every day 7 people are killed in the UK in a road crash – we have one of the worst death rates of children on foot in Western Europe.  Research suggests that around one in six deaths on our roads is caused by drivers over the legal alcohol limit and similar numbers are caused by drug drivers.

A corporate donor to Brake for the last three years, Mobile Doctors deals with approximately 50,000 victims of road traffic accidents each year.

This is why 5 of our staff:   Hope Grant, Jean Fernand, Joanne Dise, Carol Chessis and Elizabeth Morgan, are taking the challenge to climb Ben Nevis in September.  Your sponsorship will help us support the devastated families and educate people about driving safely.

Please donate what you can:  Collectively we’ve set ourselves a minimum target of £2,000.  Ben Nevis here we come!

Thank you in advance for your support.
