Many adopted children, having come through the care system into adoption and may have emotional and / or physiological needs that impact their education.
The effects of neglect and / or abuse prior to adoption are evidenced to have effects on brain and emotional development. Those suffering the effects of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome will have brain and neurological implications. Although the effects on the brain from foetal exposure to alcohol are irreversible early intervention can reduce severity of the disability and improve chances of child success.
Growing demands are made on the Athlone Trust to provide monetary aid to assist the education of many adopted children. Your Money could make the difference to a child’s life. So please sponsor me in my run to help these children.
