Story
For 2 months Gaza suffered extreme destruction of its civilian infrastructure: hospitals, schools and places of worship were among the worst affected. Meanwhile thousands of innocent Gazans sustained severe injuries and were left homeless. The region's health services as a result are being overwhelmed by an avalanche of acute and traumatic injuries. Moreover, the harsh inadequacies in access to shelter, clean water, heating, food and medical supplies has caused a health crisis.
Although the media may now be focused elsewhere, we must not forget the destruction that has occurred in Gaza . Hopefully by rebuilding the infrastructure in Gaza, we will be able to help rebuild the lives of the individuals who have severely suffered due to the senseless conflict.
Therefore I will be climbing Mt. Snowdon, with a team of other students to raise money for the building of a desperately needed Intensive Care Unit in Gaza.
