SKT Welfare is a UK registered charity & international NGO established in 2008, dedicated to the delivery of humanitarian aid & socioeconomic solutions regardless of race, political affiliation, gender or belief. Our aim is to help relieve the suffering of the world’s poor communities

Story

We are taking part in the London Monopoly walk to raise funds for the Al-Huda Hospital because thousands of Syrians, the majority of which are children have a distressingly limited access to basic healthcare.

“You will not attain righteousness till you spend in charity of the things you love.”
——— The Qur’an, Chapter 3, verse 92.

Medical facilities have been a prime target during the conflict, Al-Huda Hospital is based in an area where no other medical facility of its kind exists. The hospital specialises in Trauma, Orthopeadics and Neurosurgery, the hospital is fully equipped to perform in other areas of expertise including General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. It is situated in an area which has multiple expansive population centers to be served. It is estimated that there are 110 villages and 13 towns within its catchment area. The estimated population coverage is just under 1 million people.
