On October 2nd the Man Group Treasury Team abseiled down Guys Hospital, the tallest hospital in the world, a height of 469 feet.

Our aim, to raise money for The Place2Be. They are a school-based counselling service, dedicated to improving the emotional wellbeing of children, their families and the whole school community.

When it comes to tackling society’s problems, prevention is better than cure. Children who show challenging behaviour are usually hiding deeper issues and those facing challenges such as bullying or domestic abuse can easily go off the rails. That’s why it’s so important to tackle children’s problems before they grow. Their counselling and support services help to stop the downward spiral into problem behaviour by enabling children to cope with their problems and allow them to concentrate on their learning - instead of caving in or lashing out. The result is happier children, with better prospects and that benefits everyone. We aren’t powerless to change society; it all starts by changing a life.

I know that there are lots of demands placed upon your income and many of your friends and colleagues will also have come to you for fundraising this year, all I can say is anything that you can spare in sponsorship will be really appreciated. Please remember to Gift Aid where you can.

Thanks for all your help, Mo.
