On January 29th 2012 I fly out to Kilimanjaro to take part in a challenge that hopefully will enable me to raise a substantial amount of money for St Wilfrids Hospice in Chichester.
I work at Fleurie Nursery in West Sussex and sadly a member of our staff, Lee Carter lost his fight wth Cancer earlier this year.Lee's final few weeks were spent at St Wilfrids where he and his family received care and support during this difficult time.
St Wilfrids is an important part of our community, each year it costs in the region of £5.1 Million to run the Hospice and provide vital services to our local community.Only 15% of this is funded via the NHS, the rest comes from fundraising and retail from their local shops. Please go to their website to see for yourself what a wonderful, necessary place the Hospice is. www.stwh.co.uk
