As most of you know I have spent some time in South Africa volunteering with an amazing organization called Operation Bobbi Bear.  This year a documentary about the organization has been screening across the globe winning all sorts of awards (Audience Award at Sundance, Humanitarian award in South Africa, Human Rights award at the Human Rights Film Festival in Iran).  We had hoped that this would have translated into increased funding and donations for the organization so that they could not only continue on with the work in the community but also so that they could build a safe house for these child victims of sexual abuse as some of these children need to be immediately removed from their home environments and placed into one that will provide them with one-on-one care giving and counseling.

Operation Bobbi Bear has purchased property for this safe house but now needs to raise funds to build a safe a secure house on the site.  Even a small donation will help them reach their goal.  You can also sign up for a monthly donation that would be charged automatically.
