The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.

Story

I first met Tracy in May 2017, for knowing someone such a short period of time I am hounored to have have met someone as loving, kind, caring and as brave as Tracy who has made such a big impact on my life and career! I am taking part in the marsden march to raise money for this amazing charity and to make Tracy proud!!xxx

Our friend and colleague Tracy Earl was diagnosed with cancer in June 2016 and began treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital almost immediately. After a very invasive procedure and many rounds of chemotherapy, Tracy made a full recovery and returned to work at Lloyds Bank in Sutton in March of this year. Tracy was so pleased to be getting her life back on track and was really enjoying being back at work with her colleagues and customers, many of whom have become close friends with Tracy having worked at the bank for 35 years.

Unfortunately, Tracy's recovery was to be short-lived as in June she was advised that the cancer had returned and that she would need a further 6 rounds of chemotherapy. Sadly, just a few weeks into this treatment, Tracy was given the devastating news that her condition was now terminal and the chemotherapy would be stopped. Tracy was told that she now has months to live, possibly weeks and she is now receiving care at St Raphaels Hospice in North Cheam.

We have decided to come together to walk the Marsden March in support of Tracy and to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Please help us to make Tracy proud.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
