Story
Hello my name is Molly Massie and I am 13 years old, I would like to raise as much money as I can for JDRF. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on the 8th of February 2011 when I was 10 and since them my mum Roseanna has also been diagnosed, in April 2014.
You might be reading this as you have followed a link from my Grumpy’s 70th Birthday Party invite, if you are making a donation instead of taking a present to the party, I would like to thank you very much, I’m looking forward to the party and hope to see you there on the 12th July!! Xxx
I initially aimed to raise £10,000 for JDRF and this was achieved before I moved to America in 2012, through many fundraising events and very generous donations from family and friends. I have decided to keep my page open and active, it's a bit difficult to fund raise out here for the UK part of the charity, but we are holding a coffee morning soon so will hopefully raise some cash then.
JDRF stands for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and they are a charity that is dedicated to finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.
“JDRF raises money to drive world-class research, providing funds for the very best projects, wherever they happen to be around the world. We aim to find new ways to treat type 1 diabetes and its complications, prevent type 1 from developing in the first place and find the cure for people who already have the condition.
JDRF was established by a group of parents and children with type 1 diabetes. They believed that more had to be done to speed up the search for the cure. That belief still drives us today.”- JDRF

When we move back to Scotland next summer, I will continue where I left off and will raise more money. I have a few good ideas up my sleeve, so watch this space!!
Please help us raise money to help find a cure for me, my mum and all the other children with Type 1.
Thank You
Molly Massie
