Dear friends, family, associates and colleagues,

* Blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma affect people of all ages from babies to grandparents.

* When this charity started in 1960 children with leukaemia had virtually no chance of survival. Now thanks to their research nine out of ten survive the most common form of childhood leukaemia.

These are some of the reasons why I joined the challenge to cycle 45 miles for charity. 

On the 28th of April I joined the crowds of cyclists, walkers, hikers and runners at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes.  Together, we aimed to make a difference to the many charities being supported that day.

With your kind help I am supporting this event and successfully completed the full 45 miles of cycling to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

I have chosen this charity because it is the official charity partner for the Bikeathon event at this year's 'AMYA Charity Challenge' and, like many others of you, my family has been touched by the illness of near and dear ones.

With the knowledge gained by research, we can keep trying to help people to get well again - to live with better health and happiness for longer, all for the greater good.

*Around 30,000 people of all ages are diagnosed in the UK with blood cancers every year

Please give what you can - everyone's pennies do add up to make a positive difference to the lives of those suffering with illness and also to the lives of their loved ones.
