She is doing well and has already gained 1.7kg in weight and her confidence is growing a little more each day.&nbsp; All extra funds raised will help the many other dogs that we care for at Wood Green.&nbsp; We receive no government or lottery funding so we rely entirely on supporters like you.&nbsp; Thank you!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;"><strong>PLEASE HELP US TO RAISE MONEY FOR HONEY.</strong></span></p> <p>On the 27th January 2011, the team at Wood Green Animal Shelters in North London were shocked to discover an emaciated&nbsp;dog tied up outside the Shelter entrance.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;Shivering, starving and terrified, this poor dog has been a victim of neglect.&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;">Honey, as named by our Shelter&nbsp;Team, was brought inside and assessed immediately by one of our vets for any urgent health issues.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>She was severely underweight, under half the weight that she should have been, and had terrible sores on her back legs from surfaces rubbing her bones when she sat or lay down.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;">We immediately gave Honey a good meal and some water, which she wolfed down.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>She was obviously starving.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>She was then taken to our Shelter in&nbsp;Cambridgeshire&nbsp;where we could provide her with a warm kennel and begin a programme of intensive care and careful feeding.</span></span><strong>&pound;35</strong> will pay for a week's worth of food for Honey.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; </span>It&rsquo;s going to take&nbsp;months to get Honey to a stable weight, and we need time to work with her to regain her trust.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; We've given her antibiotics and treatment for her wounds.&nbsp; We've also given her treatment for fleas and worms.&nbsp; We'll now start the slow process of aiding her recovery.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;
